TERMS & CONDITIONS
DRAGONFYRE GECKOS
By purchasing from us, you are acknowledging and agreeing to all the terms and conditions listed below.
Sales
You must be 18 years or older to purchase a gecko from Dragonfyre Geckos (“Dragonfyre”). Dragonfyre retains the right to cancel any sale, at any time, for any reason. All sales are final once the payment has been received. Once a sale is completed, no refunds or store credit will be provided unless the gecko you purchased becomes ill or dies prior to shipping or in the event Dragonfyre cancels your sale as referenced above.
Payment
All orders must be paid in full prior to shipping. Dragonfyre accepts payment via credit card, Venmo, or Zelle. All prices are in U.S. dollars. Dragonfyre does not currently accept payment in the form of foreign currency or cryptocurrency. All sales are final. Any orders canceled by the buyer after payment has been made shall be subject to a 100% restocking fee. The listed purchase price includes all applicable taxes.
Payment Plans
Dragonfyre does not accept payment plans at this time.
Shipping Terms & Fees
Dragonfyre charges a flat rate of $65 for shipping within the continental United States. The $65 Flat Rate applies to single or multiple Gecko shipments of up to 4 geckos, assuming the Geckos are shipped on the same day and to the same shipping address. Multiple Gecko purchases shipped on different days or to different shipping addresses will be subject to standard shipping fees (Reptiles2You or Redline Shipping). Dragonfyre only ships via Fed-Ex Priority Overnight. All shipments are made on Tuesday for Wednesday morning delivery or Wednesday for Thursday morning delivery. Buyer must provide Dragonfyre with a home address, email address, daytime phone number, and the Fed-Ex Hub address that will be used for your shipment. For the safety of your gecko, all shipments will be sent to your local Fed-Ex Hub for pickup. Please double-check that your selected Fed-Ex Hub accepts live animal shipments (FedEx Office & Print and FedEx Kinkos locations DO NOT accept live animal shipments), as providing us with a pickup location that does not accept live animals will deem your LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE NULL & VOID. If you cannot pick up your shipment at your local Fed-Ex Hub, weather permitting Dragonfyre may agree to ship directly to your residence. However, you MUST be home to receive your shipment immediately on delivery. Buyer assumes all liability and responsibility for direct residence shipments, and NO LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE WILL BE PROVIDED. Dragonfyre retains the right to refuse a direct residence shipment at any time if it considers the circumstances unsafe for the gecko(s).
Shipping outside of the Continental United States
Dragonfyre does not ship to Alaska, Hawaii or internationally, at this time.
Holds due to inclement weather or unsafe shipping conditions
In most cases, if inclement weather or other unsafe shipping conditions exist Dragonfyre will agree to hold the gecko(s) you’ve purchased until conditions are safe for shipping. All such “hold” arrangements must be made and agreed upon within 10 days of purchase. Dragonfyre reserves the right to hold your gecko until the shipping weather is deemed safe for shipping on the shipping and receiving ends as well as the in-between hubs. The buyer shall check the weather at the shipping and receiving end prior to purchase. Once conditions have improved enough to allow the safe shipping of the animals you have purchased, shipping arrangements must be made within 30 days, or the gecko(s) you have purchased will be subject to the Abandoned Orders terms referenced below. The aforementioned holds are for adverse temporary weather events only and are not intended as “winter” holds. No “winter” holds will take place without prior agreement and approval from Dragonfyre before your gecko purchase. Any gecko held past the seller’s agreed-upon winter hold per buyer’s request, will incur a $50/month boarding fee.
Live Arrival Guarantee
Dragonfyre offers a LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE for Fed-Ex Hub Pickup shipments ONLY. For a live arrival guarantee the temperatures on the shipping and receiving end must not exceed the accepted ranges for the crested gecko’s survival. For a live arrival guarantee, you also must pick up your gecko(s) from your designated Fed-Ex Hub within one hour of it being made available for pick-up by FedEx notification AND send us an unboxing video of the gecko within one hour of pick up. If you have picked up your gecko within the one-hour pickup window, and have provided the video evidence that your gecko was dead on arrival within one hour of pickup, Dragonfyre will provide the buyer with store credit worth 100% of the purchase price of the gecko or replace the deceased animal with a gecko mutually agreed upon by Dragonfyre and Buyer (Dragonfyre may require additional photos or other supporting evidence of DOA, if deemed necessary). No refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
Local Pickup
If you live in - or are visiting - the San Francisco Bay Area, Dragonfyre is happy to arrange an in-person pickup of your fully paid purchase. All pickups will be made in the City of Tracy (CA), at a time and location determined prior to pickup. If you would like to arrange an in-person pickup of your purchase, please email us at Dragonfyregeckos@yahoo.com. Following successful pickup, Dragonfyre will refund any Shipping fees previously charged for the locally delivered gecko(s).
Abandoned Orders
All shipping/delivery/pickup arrangements must be made and agreed upon within 30 days of purchase. If Dragonfyre does not hear from you or receive the proper shipping information from you within 30 days, the gecko(s) you have purchased will be considered abandoned. Once a gecko is considered abandoned a final Notice of Abandonment will be sent to the email provided with the purchase. If no response is received from you within seven days of the Notice of Abandonment, the gecko(s) you have purchased will once again become the property of Dragonfyre, and NO REFUNDS WILL BE PROVIDED (neither cash nor store credit).
Lineage
Lineage is guaranteed when the parents of the gecko you’ve purchased are both from Dragonfyre lines. For Geckos that were produced by other Breeders, Dragonfyre is entirely reliant on the accuracy of the gecko lineage from the producing Breeder.
Sex
Gecko sexing is not an exact science, and every gecko develops at a different rate. It is typically easier and more reliable to assess the sex of a gecko once it has reached 15 grams or larger, though even at that stage of development surprises can and do occur. Please remember that the younger your gecko is, the harder it is to reliably assess what sex it will be as an adult. Due to these factors, Dragonfyre does not guarantee the sex of your animal unless clearly stated in the description as male or female. That being said, every gecko we sell is evaluated for the common characteristics that can act as predictors of a gecko’s ultimate sex as a fully developed adult, and we will provide our assessment of that evaluation at the time of posting. Common terms used to disclose our assessment would be: Unsexed (if the gecko is too young to make any form of reliable evaluation), Pores Visible (PV), Possible Pores Visible (PPV), No Pores Visible (NPV), Male, Female, Proven Male (male that has produced offspring) and Proven Female (female that has produced offspring). PV, PPV, and NPV determinations are not a guarantee of sex.
Tail Drops
Crested Geckos may drop their tails due to loud noises, perceived threats, the natural stress of shipping, and many other reasons (known and unknown). Dropping tails is an unfortunate, but perfectly natural and relatively common occurrence for crested geckos. Luckily, a dropped tail does not impact a Crested Gecko’s health, or ability to breed or reproduce, and does not impact the quality of the Gecko’s offspring. Thus, dropped tails prior to, during, or after the shipment, are not covered by Dragonfyre’s guarantee, and will not be eligible for refund, discount, or compensation of any kind.
Gecko Appearance and More
Dragonfyre does not use filters or artificially enhance the pictures of its geckos. In most cases, geckos are pictured in a fully “fired” state, by photos taken in good lighting conditions and with professional camera equipment. All gecko pictures we’ve posted are accurate depictions of how the pictured gecko looked during the photo shoot and when at its best. However, geckos do not always look their “best”. When geckos are “fired down”, shedding or preparing to shed they can often look very different than they do in their fully “fired” state. Please note, base colors and patterns can change to a different color palette based on light and surroundings, and whites can sometimes turn to cream or even yellow with age (particularly in Lilly Whites). Geckos can also experience significant color changes as they age. Due to all of these factors, Dragonfyre does not guarantee that the animal you purchased will ALWAYS look like it did in any of the fired-up or fired-down pictures we have posted. Dragonfyre is not responsible for the personality or the temperament of the sold gecko, and is not responsible for the purchased gecko's willingness or ability to breed; when known, we will advise if the animal has bred or not bred before.
